description

The Sign of the Deathly Hallows seems to be the incontestable symbol for the Harry Potter series despite the fact that it was only formally created by J. K. Rowling for the book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", to represent the Deathly Hallows. Today it is arguably the most tattooed symbol of the series.

The Deathly Hallows are three highly powerful magical objects supposedly created by Death and given to each of three brothers in the Peverell family. They consisted of the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility. The person who manages to hold those three objects would be the "Master of Death."

The sign is composed of a straight vertical line that represents the Elder Wand, a circle representing the Resurrection Stone, and a triangular mark enclosing them both to represent the Cloak of Invisibility. source
